Jordanian officials refute reports of US attack occurring within the country Jordan condemns attack on military base near Syrian border On January 28th, the Jordanian government condemned an attack on a military base near the Syrian border.

Mohammad Al-Momani, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesman, stated that the attack took place within Syria and did not result in any injuries to Jordanian Armed Forces personnel. He emphasized that Jordan will continue to combat terrorism threats as well as drug and arms smuggling across the Syrian border into Jordan, and will confront with full determination and strength any attempts to threaten Jordan's security.

Previously, Jordan had announced its intention to cooperate with partners to ensure border security and requested necessary military systems and equipment from the United States and other countries to enhance its ability to defend borders and respond to border threats.
